YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES 2011 SINGAPORE (International Olympic Academy)
The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event first held in Singapore from August 14 to August 26, 2010. The Youth Olympic Games features athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. Education and culture are key components for the Youth edition. REACT-IN was asked to develop a series of interactive installations (hardware & software) on behalf of the International Olympic Academy. 5 inviDESK™ systems were installed in the Greek Olympic games stand (Vertical alignment). 7 different interactive applications were also developed to promote the International Olympic Academy, including an interactive map game, puzzles, quizzes, drawing apps and multimedia applications. The main concept was to use the inviDESK™ solution as the main attraction of the Greek Olympic games stand. Athletes could then join in and play interactive games either individually or in small groups. Thousands of Athletes participated in the event and inviDESK™ was there to entertain and educate at the same time.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MODERN ART (EMST - Greece 2011)
The National Museum of Modern Art is one of the most famous art museums across Europe. It hosts various exhibitions per year and holds several permanent collections. EMST commissioned REACT-IN to develop a special inviDESK™ system in order to present past, current and future exhibitions held at the museum. There were several software applications developed including interactive puzzles (featuring famous artworks), drawing apps and an interactive floor plan (portraying the current exhibits & artist bios). inviDESK™ engine software was also configured to hold hundreds or images and videos of famous artworks and artists. Visitors are free to experiment with the interactive table and explore its features – it’s a fascinating interactive tool that magnetizes younger and older audiences at the same time. The applications are both entertaining and educational in nature. Participants can make their own drawings and sketches and save them in the museum’s database.

NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS
The National Technical University of Athens commissioned REACT-IN to develop a special inviDESK™ system for the School of Mining Engineering and Metallurgy. inviDESK™ is installed in the school’s newly built museum, amongst a valuable collection of minerals. The inviDESK™ engine software is used by the museum to present images and videos of minerals in full high-definition format. The museum required for a large format multi-touch interactive display that could attract audiences and engage them in collaborative tasks. inviDESK™ is a perfect tool for collaboration – it allows small groups of people to gather around the table and become active participants.
